'PUD IS GOOD!' - an occasionally updated tribute site...

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Why is this site here? What's the point of it all?

A: Boss Goodman, Deviants and Pink Fairies road manager, DJ at Dingwalls, The 100 Club and other venues too numerous to mention, band-booker, chef, raconteur and all-round legend in his own lunchtime (and Boss lunchtimes were indeed legendary) suffered a near-fatal stroke back in March 2006.

His recovery was miraculous, but his movement and communication skills were severely hampered (although they're improving as the years go by). The www.bossgoodman.co.uk website was originally set up by Steve Mann soon after his stroke so that Boss's many friends worldwide could keep tabs on his condition.

After a long dormant period, the site has been resurrected to commemorate the Portobello Shuffle tribute/benefit album (conceived by Rich Deakin and brought to fruition by Carlton Sandercock of Easy Action Records) and the Dissenters Gallery Bossapalooza! event on 12 November 2010 (big BIG thanks to Ian Grant of Track Records for allowing the first of his new Dissenters Gallery series to be devoted to Boss and for donating all the proceeds to help fund the Goodman lifestyle...)

Q: Is that all?

A: No. Of course not. This is an ongoing project - limited only by the indolence and ineptitude of the site owner. At the moment, it's all very rough and ready, but eventually it is hoped that this site may become a central repository for all sorts of Boss-related material - videos, interviews, links to other sites that may be of interest etc etc. With a bit of luck, it may also eventually look a bit more professional and glitzy - but don't hold your breath. At the moment, this is a hastily modified "template" site - done purely to get all the Bossapalooza! pics online as quickly as possible. Anything more time-consuming/complicated will have to wait a while...
